Topic: Bilingual Poster Design
The poster belongs to the most essential media announcing issues or promoting events – posters are meant to be displayed and seen – they are created to inform and communicate. To fulfill their purpose of spreading information in nowadays globalised world, posters increasingly need to be set-up with more than just one language – sooner or later every designer and artist will be faced with the task to design a bilingual poster. A particularly hard challenge is working with two scripts with opposed writing and reading directions.
In their 3-day-workshop Sascha Thoma and Ben Wittner will give an insight into bilingual poster design (Arabic and English). Stay tuned for more information on how to sign up!
